Deep Space 12

Deep Space 12 is a Federation starbase that was built in orbit of Ba'ku as a replacement for the much smaller Outpost 40. DS12 was designed to serve as the command base for all Starfleet activity in the Briar Patch and the surrounding sector. DS12 is the closest Starbase to the Nepenthe System.

As of 2389, the USS Excelsior, USS Helena and USS Guinevere serve as sector command ships. Deep Space 12 also serves as the homeport for the Triangulum Expeditionary Project.
