Welcome Aboard Guinevere!
2389 - In the shadow of the former Romulan Star Empire, an ancient secret has been uncovered—a dormant Transwarp Gate hidden in the depths of the former Neutral Zone and found by the Federation and Borg Reclamation Project has been reactivated and reprogrammed. It opens a direct passage into the Triangulum Galaxy, a realm untouched by Starfleet or any Milky Way exploration.
To meet this new challenge, Starfleet has ordered the USS Guinevere, a Helena Class starship retrofitted for intergalactic exploration and long-range diplomacy to cross through the gate and see what is on the other side.
Commanded by Commodore Elias McEntyre, a veteran of Wolf 359 and the Dominion Wars, the Guinevere leads a daring expedition into a galaxy untouched by Federation presence. Strange new worlds, remnants of ancient technologies, and first contact scenarios abound in this high-stakes mission to expand the reach—and ideals—of the United Federation of Planets.
Though all is not well in Triangulum. The theocratic Zandaryi Kingdoms dominate the known portions of Triangulum and will do whatever it takes to keep hold of its domain.
Guinevere is a brand new sim that aims to return to the glory days of exploration, action and adventure.

Mission: Prologue
Posted on Mon Jul 7th, 2025 @ 11:27am by Lieutenant JG Elen Rell & Sergeant Jace Morven
Elen Rell didn’t need to look up to know someone had entered.
The door hadn’t made a sound because guess what? New seals, perfectly aligned. She’d overseen the work herself last week, triple-checked the tolerances. But something in the air changed. The ship didn’t feel wrong, just...recalibrated. Like the internal sensors had clocked a shift in inertia but hadn’t decided whether to flag it.
The EPS feed still hummed at the correct pitch. The diagnostics scrolled along in orderly columns on the nearby interface, precisely on schedule. But she felt it. Like an additional circuit had just come online. Not…

Ship’s Log, U.S.S. Guinevere. Stardate 61050.1 Commodore Elias McEntyre Recording.
After Six Months, we’ve finally located the goal of our expedition. The Borg Transwarp Gate that was detected by the Reclamation Project. The Guinevere has been holding station in synchronous orbit with the gate for the last two days.
The Guin had been holding near the gate for 2 days. A long two days. Out in the open, while Dr. Tyris, the Chief Engineer and their teams investigate the gate. It was in a dormant state, floating just off the bow of the ship, looming. It was mysterious in every…

Mission: Prologue

Elen Rell walked briskly down the corridor, the bundle in her arms tucked securely against her chest like a tactical offering. The blanket: dark purple and lusciously soft, was frankly, enormous. Somewhere along the way, she’d lost track of how many rows she’d knitted, and now it was large enough to swaddle a grown Caitian. Which, given that the Commodore was a grown Caitian, was either serendipitous or vaguely alarming. Or both, never underestimate the power of both.
The alpaca wool was real, unreplicated, bartered for in exchange for three hours of crawling elbow-deep through an alpaca farmer's power maintenance…

Mission: Prologue

New arrival day had come and gone. It was Dr. Cressida Vale’s goal to get as many as possible into sickbay on Day One. It was never 100% but this trip was pretty good. Thirteen new arrivals, eight had their physicals done on Day One. That was up to ten by Day Three, and eleven by Day Four.
It was Day Six now. Those last two… That 84.9% was haunting.
She sent written messages to her two remaining prospective patients. They should hopefully arrive today…
For once, hope worked. The doors hissed open to reveal a nondescript Bajoran woman, stocky,…

Mission: Prologue

The holodeck simulation flickered softly around her, desert heat translated into ambient warmth on her skin. It smelled faintly of iron-rich dust and dry stone…someone had gotten the sensory feedback subroutines just right. Or close enough that her brain believed it.
She bounced once on the balls of her feet. This was fine. Everything was fine.
Except that Elen Rell was not a fighter. Never had been. She’d scraped through self-defence at the Academy with the grace of a PADD sliding off a tilted desk. Most of her martial prowess could be summed up with “trip over your own boots,…

Encoded Subspace Transmission
Recipient: Jalay Halyn, Talumna, Musilla Province, Bajor
Sender: Jalay Prinnet, Runabout Mordred, approaching U.S.S. Guinevere
Hello Halyn:
Well, it’s a start. That’s about as much as I can say about this ship, the Guinevere. The Federation has always talked a big game about their superior technology, dangling it in front of our Bajoran noses like it would make up for them moving into our neighborhood as soon as the Cardassians left. But this is not one of their finest vessels, at least judging by how it looks through the front viewport of this shuttle. The nacelles are…
